In this family dentist testimonial, Dr. Hughes’ patient discusses how long he has been visiting the practice. He is extremely appreciative of how good the doctor was with his small children. In addition, he appreciates that staff members have been with the practice for a long time.
I’m Chris Phillips and my family and I have been coming to see Dr. Hughes for, gee, I guess about 27, 28 years. When we moved out to Sterling, Dr. Hughes was here. One of the particular things that concerned me, I have a medical condition that I need to use nitrous oxide. I don’t work well with needles and Dr. Hughes was one of the few people that used nitrous. I’ve subsequently been able to overcome that, for the most part, but it’s really neat to be able to come to a dentistry place where you have all the technologies, the new technologies as well as the older, tried-and-true things. So that gave me a sense of comfort.
One of the things that attracted me to Dr. Hughes is his former military experience. I’m a retired Department of Defense employee, so that gave us a sense of camaraderie. He really shows interest in his patients. He’s extremely good with kids. My eldest daughter is now 27. She used Dr. Hughes until she moved out of the area. And my youngest is now 14 going on 30, and he has been great with her from infancy on up.
The staff here is exceptional. First of all, there isn’t a whole lot of turnover. We’ve been working with the same people, seeing the same people. Cody is just a wonderful, wonderful person. She’s been here since both of my daughters were knee high to grasshoppers. So they’re not only here all the time, fantastic caring. My daughters, when they were in the drawing stages, would provide decorations, and it wasn’t something that she would just put up and then take down after the patient left. We’d come back visit after visit and the same picture of a horse that my daughter had done, it was still there. Then she would insist on another drawing, which, of course, made my daughter feel really great.
